Around the SEC: Week Two

Well week two wasn’t the best weekend ever for the SEC, but Alabama took care of Middle Tennessee State and let’s be honest, that’s all that really matters.
All 14 SEC teams finally suited up in week two and when it was all said and done the conference went 9-5 overall; three of those losses came in conference play. The out of conference losses were Tennessee who lost to Oklahoma and Arkansas who lost to Toledo. Yes, that was a real thing that happened.
Another “top” SEC team struggled with a tough OVC foe this weekend. Don’t worry, we’ll get to that I promise.
In conference Georgia took care of Vanderbilt, LSU beat Mississippi State and Kentucky upset South Carolina on the road.
We came in to the weekend with ten ranked SEC teams; that number has since dropped to seven with Arkansas, Tennessee, and Mississippi State falling out.
All 14 SEC teams should be in action again this weekend, as we get four SEC match-ups, and six out of conference games. The SEC match-ups are Florida at Kentucky, South Carolina at Georgia, Auburn at LSU and the big one Ole Miss at Alabama.
Missouri, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Arkansas, Mississippi State and Texas A&M are playing out of conference. Arkansas and Texas Tech is the only real game of note in non-SEC play this weekend.
Again, this will be formatted like last week’s Around the SEC with the West Winners first then the West Losers; followed by the East Winners and East Losers.
Also, I’m assuming we all still know what happened during the Alabama game so I’ll skip that.
