2015 – Alabama vs Florida

Here we are again.  It’s time to renew the great battle between Alabama and Florida.  It’s time for the two greats of the SEC to once again meet each other to find out who will be the champion of the best conference in the nation.

Sure Florida has had a hard time over the last few weeks.  The Gators got beat by their old rival FSU and they nearly lost to a new one in Florida Atlantic University… yeah they needed a last minute save to beat the mighty Owls.  Don’t think for a moment that this means that the Florida Gators won’t bring everything they have to an SEC Championship Game against Alabama, because they will.

There’s nothing the Florida Gators would love more than to get a win over a #2 ranked Alabama in the SEC Championship Game.  The SEC West has owned the SEC Championship Game for the past six years in a row. But besides redemption for the SEC East, it would also be redemption for the Gators themselves.  They’ve suffered mightily under Will Muschamp and now are feeling that old Florida excitement under Jim McElwain.

Speaking of McElwain, does anyone outside the Alabama program know Alabama better than McElwain? Will he be able to get the better of his former boss Nick Saban?

We believe that Alabama is the best team in the nation, but that doesn’t mean they won’t have their hands full with Florida.  Forget all the predictions of a massive Alabama win, this is going to be a good game. Roll Tide.
