Alabama Gymnastics: Crimson Tide Ready To Rumble At SEC Championship
FLOOR EXERCISE
Gymnasts will perform one routine, the score of which will count. A gymnast must perform a minimum of 3 flight elements, different saltos or somersaults, within the exercise and a minimum 360-degree turn on one foot. The dance must also include a series of two or more leaps, jumps or hops (one foot take off not required) with deductions being taken on dismounts.
The team can drop the two lowest scores from the combined total. Here’s how the team’s stack up against each other:
Junior Kiana Winston (aka the Lethal Weapon) is Alabama Gymnastics most lethal weapon in this event scoring a perfect 10.00 earlier this season against the Florida Gators. Senior Aja Sims and junior Nickie Guerrero round out the best trio of gymnasts in the country on this event.
LSU junior Erin Macadeag has been the most reliable gymnast for the Tigers in the floor routine. She will have to go above and beyond to lead her team.
Florida juniors Kennedy Baker and Alex McCurty have both scored a perfect 10.0 this season and have the Gators ranked as the best in this event.
