No. 5 2016 Alabama Pitching Staff

A familiar staff to those that have watched Alabama Softball this season. Littlejohn, Osorio and Moore were the rotation for the 2016 season. For the moment, we conclude last year’s staff was not as good as the 2017 pitching staff.

Osorio, as she has this year, put up astronomical strikeout numbers in 2016 with 273 strikeouts. 19-7 was her record, in addition to 7 saves and 2.39 ERA. Sydney Littlejohn was right behind her, with a 2.43 ERA. While Littlejohn posted a 23-7 record, she actually pitched fewer total innings than Osorio. Madi Moore was undefeated in her freshman season, putting up an 8-0 record. She also posted the lowest ERA of the staff, with a 2.09.

The 2016 season did see a trip to Oklahoma City, but it was short lived. The Tide fell 3-0 against Oklahoma, then got knocked out by one of their SEC rivals, LSU, in a 6-4 decision.
