Alabama remains No. 1 in the Associated Press and Amway Coaches polls this week following the Tide’s 66-3 win over Ole Miss last Saturday. Texas A&M is receiving votes in both polls this week following the Aggies’ 24-17 win over South Carolina.

Series Notes

"Alabama and Texas A&M will meet for the 10th time on Saturday. The Crimson Tide leads the all-time series, 7-2, and won last year’s meeting, 33-14, in Tuscaloosa. Alabamahas won the last four meetings between the two schools, including a 41-23 win in the Tide’s last trip to College Station in 2015. Alabama head coach Nick Saban is 4-1 in his career against the Aggies, with all of the meetings occurring during his tenure at Alabama. Texas A&M head coach Kevin Sumlin is 1-4 all-time against UA."

"Texas A&M will be seeking its third all-time win over the Associated Press No. 1 team on Saturday. The Aggies’ previous No. 1 wins were 30-26 over Oklahoma at Kyle Field in 2002 and 29-24 over Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Ala., in 2012. Texas A&M has a 2-12 record vs. the AP No. 1 team, including a 1-5 record at Kyle Field. Texas A&M is seeking to become the 20th team in NCAA history to beat the AP No. 1 team at least three times. The Aggies will be seeking to snap a four-game losing skid to the Crimson Tide. Texas A&M will be trying to improve to 3-0 in SEC play for a second straight year (also second time since joining SEC)."

Next Up For The Tide:

The Crimson Tide will host SEC foe Arkansas for its Homecoming matchup in Tuscaloosa on Oct. 14. Alabama and Arkansas will meet for the 28th time in a series that dates back to 1962.

The Crimson Tide leads the all-time series, 20-7 (17-8 after vacations/forfeits), including a 9-3 record (6-4 after vacations/forfeits) at Bryant Denny Stadium.

Alabama won last year’s meeting, 49-30, in Fayetteville. Alabama head coach Nick Saban is 13-2 (12-2 after vacations) all-time against the Razorbacks, including a perfect 10-0 (9-0 after vacations) record at Alabama.
