The Tide brings Mond back down to Earth

Texas A&M super sophomore Kellen Mond is the main reason the Aggies have resembled giant killers. Mond’s stellar game against Clemson’s vaunted defense throwing for 430 yards and three scores should scare the Crimson Tide.

History reminds us that the Crimson Tide does not fare well against legitimate dual-threat quarterbacks like Johnny Manziel, Cam Newton or Deshaun Watson. The Tigers pressured Mond all night with four sacks and a half-dozen quarterback hurries. Quinnen Williams and company will apply undue pressure against a weary offensive line.

It is imperative for running back Trayveon Williams to get the ground game going early for Mond to have a good game. The junior running back finished with 17 carries for 31 yards versus Clemson. If the Aggies cannot run the ball, which they will not be able to, the defensive pressure will intensify further frustrating the quarterback.

After shutting out Ole Miss nWo (Nasty Wide Outs), the talented trio of Camron Buckley, Kendrick Rogers, and Jhamoun Ausbon are an easier challenge for the talented Tide secondary.

Since Kellen is a threat to take off, Alabama should spy the young quarterback with Dylan Moses or Mack Wilson.

Mond will not make an impact in this game. Constantly harassed by the Tide’s defense, sacked four times; forced into two interceptions and a fumble, Mond’s day will end uneventfully.
