No longer starting within the cozy confines of Bryant Denny Stadium, this is Mac Jones‘ first actual test. The Iron Bowl is a must-win for a final playoff push, although naysayers declare their way into the College Football Playoff is dead.

Jones has proven he is a proficient quarterback with efficient outings against Arkansas and Western Carolina. However, Saturday afternoon, Jones finds himself face to face with a den of ravenous lions, ready to shred him limb for limb and shatter Alabama football hopes and dreams.

The Auburn Tigers defensive line features NFL grown men Derrick Brown, Marlon Davidson, and Big Cat Bryant. They ensure life for opposing quarterbacks is miserable with a superabundant, unrelenting pass rush. The offensive line has to keep Mac’s uniform pristine for a chance at victory.

Reported on AL.com, legendary head coach Gene Stallings had some advice for Jones,

"“He’s got some outstanding wide receivers and good running backs,” Stallings said on Tuesday. “Just don’t put a lot of pressure on yourself. It will feel like (to him) if he doesn’t play well, Alabama’s not going to play well. That’s not the case."

Coach Stallings is right.

Playing out of his mind the last six games, Najee Harris (942 rushing yards, 278 receiving, 17 total TDs) is the running back you can build an offense around. The nation’s best quartet of wide receivers (Jeudy, Smith, Ruggs III, and Waddle) are difference makers whenever they get their hands on the ball.

Getting the ball to them out in space is ultra important.
