Alabama Football: Top 30 NFL Draft prospects of the Nick Saban Era
By Dakota Cox
Alabama football’s top 30 NFL Draft prospects: 12-10
12. Jonah Williams, Tackle
Jonah Williams was one of the best offensive tackles to ever play for Alabama football, and his game was expected to translate well to the NFL. He’s strong, but he has speed. The only concern with him was his size. He struggled to keep his weight in college, and his arm length was a concern for some teams. He ended up being the first offensive tackle drafted in 2019, but an injury held him out for his rookie year. When football comes back, Williams will be protecting Joe Burrow’s blind side. If he ends up being too small to play tackle in the NFL, he could possibly transition to guard.
11. Jedrick Wills, Tackle
Alabama football had a great right tackle for the past three seasons. Once Tua became the starting quarterback, Wills was actually protecting the QB’s blind side. He was also exceptional in the running game. He was arguably the best offensive tackle in this draft class, but he was the second tackle off the board. His value was basically identical with Jonah Williams, but I had him as slightly the better prospect.
10. Jerry Jeudy, Wide Receiver
Jerry Jeudy was arguably the best receiver in the 2020 NFL Draft class, but he ended up being the second receiver drafted. However, I believe that he is the complete package for a wide receiver. He has speed, agility, and great precision in his routes. He will be an immediate contender for Rookie of the Year with the Denver Broncos. I think he might be a top-3 wide receiver of all time for Alabama football.
