Alabama football has happy days ahead for their 2021 recruiting class.

With the summer peaking in early July, Alabama football has been hot on the recruiting trail in recent weeks. Despite a slow start to commits, the Crimson Tide are slowly moving their way up the recruiting boards. They just landed Devonta Smith, a defensive back with versatility and plenty of upside.

Crimson Tide fans need to stay on the edge of their seat for the next few weeks. Recruits could be coming in at an unprecedented pace at all positions. Let’s take a look at where Alabama football stands in terms of 2021 recruiting as of right now.

Alabama football already has a solid class.

We are used to Alabama having the best recruiting class in the country every year. They might get back there, but there is no guarantee. With Clemson, LSU, Tennessee, and Georgia improving their recruiting, it is hard to secure a top class. However, Alabama already has plenty of needs filled in their 2021 committed class. JC Latham will be an immediate contender to start on the offensive line, while multiple receivers will be looking to add depth after DeVonta Smith and Jaylen Waddle enter for the NFL Draft.

Outside of the studs that have already committed, look for these names to join the mix within the coming weeks.

Dallas Turner

Turner will be another key addition to the defensive line, and he appears to be a lock to join the Crimson Tide. Expect his commitment on July 1.

Tommy Brockermeyer

The Brockermeyer twins will add depth on the O-line, but Tommy is the higher-rated prospect due to his ability to play tackle. Both Brockermeyer brothers are expected to commit to Alabama football, but we’ll have to see when this happens. It would not shock me if we saw them announce their commitments in early July.

Ga’Quincy McKinstry

McKinstry is the best cornerback in the 2021 recruiting class, so he would be a major addition for the Crimson Tide. With Patrick Surtain likely entering the 2021 NFL Draft, there will be a need for another star defensive back. It might take some time for McKinstry to contribute, but he will be a star if he ends up signing with Alabama.

Next. Empty stadiums might actually help Alabama. dark

All in all, this 2021 class has a lot of room for growth. Watch out for some big names to be coming down the pipeline in the coming weeks.
