Alabama football will make it back to the CFP.

(1) Alabama vs. (4) Oklahoma

This is a little bold, but I expect Alabama football to go undefeated through the regular season. They have a daunting schedule, but they were able to avoid adding the Florida Gators. They can beat Florida, but adding another SEC powerhouse would make things insurmountable.

The Oklahoma Sooners keep making it to the College Football Playoff, but they have yet to win a game. They are hoping that this year will be different with Spencer Rattler under center. Rattler will be Lincoln Riley’s first starting quarterback that he recruited out of high school. Riley was able to groom Rattler for an entire season before making him the starting QB, and that will be incredibly valuable. He will likely be a Heisman Trophy candidate, but I doubt that he will be able to beat the Crimson Tide.

OU will be without CeeDee Lamb this year. While their offensive line looks to be great again, I doubt that Charleston Rambo will be enough to light up Alabama’s dynamic defense. The secondary lacks experience, but Patrick Surtain will help lock down any top receiver.

Alabama ran up the score in a hurry the last time the Tide played the Sooners, but I doubt that will happen again. Instead, Alabama will take the ground and pound approach and chew game clock. Najee will have over 100 rushing yards, the offensive line will dominate, and the Tide will roll their way into the College Football Playoff.

Prediction: Alabama 45, Oklahoma 31
