Alabama Football: A canceled season would hurt these Tide players most
By Dakota Cox
Christian Barmore needs a season with Alabama football.

Christian Barmore still has plenty of time before his eligibility runs up, but this is supposed to be a crazy year for him. He’s a menace as an interior pass rusher, but he needs some time with Alabama football to prove that he’s more well-rounded.
Barmore has already been placed in the first round of a few NFL mock drafts, but that is a projection. He’s been great in flashes for the Crimson Tide, but he has not done nearly enough to prove that he is worth a first-round pick in 2021.
Alabama’s defensive line will be loaded in 2020, but Barmore will play a pivotal role in its success. However, all of this depends on having an actual college football season.
If we play college football in 2020, then there is a chance that Christian Barmore plays well enough to surge up draft boards. This might lead him to playing in the NFL a year earlier, which would help him earn money a lot faster. However, all of this is thrown aside if football is canceled. He would certainly come back to Alabama.
I think that Barmore will have a successful NFL career despite what happens with this season, but he could really use a surge in 2020. It won’t make or break him, but it would push him to the forefront of the 2021 NFL Draft conversation.
