Tua Tagovailoa is only three games into his NFL career as a starter, but he is making Alabama football proud. He is checking all of the boxes for the Miami Dolphins. He continues to make statements, and he made his most recent statement on Sunday.
The Dolphins faced off against the Los Angeles Chargers, another team on the rise with a rookie quarterback. Tua Tagovailoa had a chance to prove that the Dolphins made the right choice, and he did just that.
This is not a shot at Justin Herbert. He is a great player, and he is going to make fans in Los Angeles very happy. However, Tua made all of the plays necessary to show why he was drafted highly.
Tua Tagovailoa converted 67% of his passes for 169 yards, but he threw two key touchdowns. He also avoided sacks and kept drives alive by avoiding major mistakes. He had no turnovers and got a touchdown-saving tackle in the game as well.
Thanks to Tagovailoa, the Miami Dolphins have more confidence than they have had in years. They have won five games in a row and control their own destiny in the AFC East standings. They have a favorable schedule moving forward that might carry them to an 8-game winning streak.

We will see where the rest of his career takes him, but Alabama football fans should be proud of what he has done so far.
