Alabama football’s report card vs. Arkansas

Offensive Line: A+

Alabama was without its starting right tackle for this game, and Chris Owens filled in his place. This offensive line has been great all year, but the depth really flexed in this one. Dalcourt was in at center for Landon Dickerson on a rushing touchdown.

This unit deserves to win the Joe Moore Award. The running game had a slow start, but that was mostly because of the weather. The offensive line did its job, and they deserve credit for playing well despite having some new faces.

Defensive Line: A+

This defensive line has too many names to remember. The depth is astounding, and it has turned into a strength for the Crimson Tide. Christian Barmore got a sack on the first drive for Arkansas, but he is just one guy. While he has kept getting better, the rest of the line has improved as well.

Byron Young deserves more credit for his effort. On an early play, he ran and made a tackle over 15 yards down the field. That is rare for a defensive lineman.

Phil Mathis has also stepped up since the Iron Bowl. He got a sack to force a third down late in the first quarter.

DJ Dale also got a fumble recovery in the first half. The defensive front played its best game of the year against the Razorbacks, and it showed in the stat sheet.
