We have seen an incredibly successful season from Alabama football. With a potent offense, an improving defense and stellar coaching, this team is obviously the best in college football. Even with this information, it is not a guarantee that the Crimson Tide will win it all.

Alabama might be favored in every game, but they still have to win. The Tide might be talented, but so are plenty of other teams. Who can actually beat the Crimson Tide?

Let’s start with a given. If Alabama plays its best game, they will beat anyone. These teams have what it takes to force Alabama into mistakes and capitalize on their opportunities.

Clemson Tigers

Clemson has succeeded against Alabama in previous years, and they have retained their coaching staff. Their defense isn’t as good as it was two years ago, but they still have one of the best quarterbacks in college football. Trevor Lawrence can attack any defense with his arm, and his ability to run is often overlooked. While Alabama would be favored against the Tigers, never count out Dabo and this group of players.

Ohio State Buckeyes

This one is tough. Alabama would easily be favored against the Buckeyes, and they would likely win that game. However, how can anyone confidently define the Buckeyes right now? They simply haven’t played enough games.

The fact that they are a wild card keeps them on this list. We haven’t seen them at their best, so we have no way of quantifying what this team is capable of. That being said, they are running out of time to put it all together. I would favor Alabama by multiple touchdowns, but the path is there.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish?

It would take a lot for Notre Dame to beat Alabama football. Alabama would have to have its most uncharacteristic game imaginable. Notre Dame would also have to take advantage of just about every possible mistake. However, they have what it takes to take advantage of potential mistakes. They have a strong running game and a veteran quarterback. I would genuinely be shocked, but it could technically happen.

While technically anything can happen, these teams could win without it being earth-shattering. Any other team would need a miracle to get a win against Alabama football.
