5 greatest moments for Alabama football vs. OSU

4. Mac Jones playing through the pain

We are used to Mac Jones showing toughness on the football field. In the final game of the season, we expected more of the same, and that is certainly what we got.

No one is fully healthy by the end of the season, but Mac Jones was obviously hobbled late in this game. On a scramble, he took an awkward dive for yardage and came up wincing. He seemed to have some sort of a leg injury, and Alabama football fans were immediately nervous.

Nonetheless, Mac Jones stayed in the game and played his heart out. He finished with five touchdowns and no interceptions. He was able to extend drives with his legs, which is not something you are used to seeing from Mac Jones.

He was still clearly hurt, but Jones carried this team on his shoulders. While he was in pain, you could not tell by his play on the field.

Still, he is going to have to work on sliding if he wants to have a long NFL career. That is an area that Mac Jones can improve, but there aren’t many of those. He is already an excellent leader and an accurate quarterback. He will make an NFL team very happy in the near future.
