Perfect landing spots for Alabama football’s DeVonta Smith

2. Philadelphia Eagles

Being drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles would mean a few things for DeVonta Smith. For starters, he would instantly be receiving WR1 targets as a rookie. The Eagles have plenty of issues on offense, but one of them is the lack of a top receiver. They have tried to address this multiple times in the draft, but nothing has worked so far.

It would also mean a lot of money for Smitty. Being drafted in the top ten is incredibly valuable, so this alone would be more than enough for generations of his family to live comfortably without having to do an ounce of work.

There is also an Alabama football connection in Philly. Jalen Hurts is on the roster at quarterback for the Eagles, so this would pair Hurts with Smith. While we aren’t sure if Hurts will start, they will at least be in the same locker room.

The NFC East has no true top contender. If Philadelphia hits on a few draft selections and figures out the quarterback situation, they could be a perennial playoff team. Smith alone would ease the pressure on any quarterback, so this fit makes a ton of sense.

This might not happen, but it would make a lot of sense for both DeVonta Smith and the Philadelphia Eagles.
