Alabama Football: 3 ideal NFL team fits for Landon Dickerson
By Dakota Cox
These NFL teams should draft this Alabama football player
With the NFL Draft on the horizon, teams are preparing their draft boards. As always, plenty of Alabama football players will find their new homes in the draft. While defensive players were a common theme in previous years, this draft will be filled with offensive talent at every position from Tuscaloosa.
That includes stars at every position of the offensive line. One player who keeps rising up draft boards is Landon Dickerson, the Tide’s center. With his ability to block on the field and ability to lead off of it, Dickerson is the type of player that every NFL team is looking for.
While Dickerson will succeed with any team, these are the best fits for the Alabama football center.
3. Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins need to build around Tua Tagovailoa, and that includes improving the offensive line. If they don’t, they will be limited in what they can achieve over his rookie contract.
The beauty of Dickerson is that he can play at center or guard. This versatility will help Miami as they prepare for the next few years. No matter where he plays on the interior, he will thrive.
Dickerson already has chemistry with Tagovailoa due to their time together in Tuscaloosa. Needless to say, Dickerson would go to war for Tagovailoa without blinking. With a program that has seen debate regarding who the starting quarterback should be, this would set the tone for the rest of the Miami offense.
Miami has more important needs, but the fit here makes so much sense. If Dickerson is somehow available in the second round, the Dolphins should pull the trigger and draft a building block for the next decade.
