Worst NFL landing spots for Alabama football’s Mac Jones

1. Chicago Bears

This is another playoff team that is worse than their draft position suggests. There is no doubt that this is the worst realistic landing spot for Mac Jones. Chicago has no identity, and Mac Jones won’t be the right person to solve this problem.

Matt Nagy’s offense relies on a mobile quarterback. While Mac Jones can make a move in the pocket, he is not one to scramble and extend plays for long. Also, every facet of the Bears organization is in limbo. How long does Nagy have? Will the Bears fire their general manager? Because of this, Jones could have two head coaches in two years.

Mac Jones thrives with stability. He can handle chaos, but he was at his best when he could simply rely on those around him. He won’t be able to trust anyone on the Chicago offense, and he can’t even trust the front office to make smart draft decisions. They have attacked the tight end position repeatedly, and they need to fix the offensive line and add weapons. No one will want to join this team in free agency, and Mac Jones will be the first person fans blame if things fail.

Alabama football fans will be rooting for Jones to join their team, but they also need to be rooting against certain landing spots. That includes the Chicago Bears.
