Alabama Football: 2021 NFL Mock Draft 2.0 with trades

Alabama football’s Jalen Hurts gets a weapon
6. Philadelphia Eagles: Ja’Marr Chase, WR, LSU
The Eagles have a few options, but I think that they have to give Jalen Hurts a shot. They drafted him in the second round, and they traded away their franchise quarterback after seeing Hurts succeed late in the year. The Eagles aren’t a quarterback away from winning, so they need to see what they have on the roster before making a franchise-altering decision.
Many will have Chase as the top receiver in the class, but I have him as WR2. Even though I prefer Smith, I realize that Chase has all of the traits that NFL teams are looking for. He’s aggressive for his size, and he plays with that aggression. He can be explosive, and his versatility will work well alongside Jalen Hurts.
The Eagles could consider so many players here, but they need to give Hurts a weapon. If they decide not to trade back, that means they should either draft Kyle Pitts, Ja’Marr Chase or Alabama football’s Jaylen Waddle.
Out of those three options, Chase is the best fit for the Eagles. With him, they can confidently see what Hurts can do with adequate talent around him. He played well as a rookie, but adding Chase will give him options that he didn’t have last year. The receiving corps is decimated, and they must address it with the draft.
