 Alabama Football Defensive Back

What was a weakness at times in the 2020 season should be a strength for at least the next two seasons with two sets of defensive back duos.

First, veterans Josh Jobe and Jordan Battle should anchor the secondary next season. Jobe registered 55 tackles, two sacks, 11 pass breakups, and two forced fumbles last season. With 66 tackles and one pick-six, Battle made an impact in his sophomore year with the Tide. Battle and Jobe should take on leadership positions next year in the secondary.

Sophomores Malachi Moore and Brian Branch had impressive seasons as freshmen with the Alabama Football team. Moore led the team with four turnovers and three interceptions as a starter at star as a freshman. Branch also had two interceptions as a freshman defender and continued to improve as the season progressed. Moore and Branch will lockdown the secondary for at least two more seasons with Twitter accolades rolling in.

The Tide should have several sets of dynamic duos in the 2021 season. We’ll see if those duos will lead to a duo of national championships in back-to-back seasons as well.
