The 2021 NFL Draft has a gem from Alabama football

Every NFL draft class has some sleepers. While it is hard to sleep on Alabama football players, one will be the steal of the 2021 NFL Draft. His name is Landon Dickerson.

At center, Dickerson commanded the best offensive line in college football last year. He played two years with the Crimson Tide, but he still managed to become a captain as a senior. That shows his leadership and ability to win over a locker room.

Dickerson is clearly an amazing person. Whether he is doing cartwheels during interviews or doing a bench press in overalls, he makes you laugh. However, his heart was shown earlier this year when he donated his iconic truck bumper to charity. He goes out of his way to help others, and he makes you smile as he does it.

All of this shows that Dickerson is elite off of the field. Still, he is a steal due to his work on the field. Center play isn’t always hyped up, but Dickerson did it at an elite level in 2020. He made a highlight block in nearly every game. His technique improved as he limited penalties, and he also found ways to force the other team to commit penalties at the line. He’s a technician at a crucial position, and he will be a starter in the NFL for years.

You want skill and size on your offensive line. However, you also need a guy who can change the vibe in the locker room. Landon Dickerson will be competing to win, and he will go to war for his teammates. Playing with a guy like that changes the expectation with the rest of the offensive line. Dickerson did this with Alabama football, and he will do the same with whoever drafts him.

Dickerson could easily go in the first round. Teams like Pittsburgh and Kansas City need offensive line help now. No matter where he goes, he will play above where he was drafted.
