Alabama football breaks record in NFL Mock Draft 5.0

28. New Orleans Saints: Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, LB, Notre Dame

The Saints would love to add a weapon to the offense for whoever becomes the starting quarterback, but the value at this position is dropping. The Saints are too smart to reach for a need when there are other quality options on the board with great value at other needs.

With that in mind, Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah finally comes off the board for Notre Dame. He was a hybrid linebacker who could do a little of everything for the Fighting Irish. He was the best player on Notre Dame’s team in 2020, and he is part of the reason why the Fighting Irish made it to the College Football Playoff against Alabama football.

The Saints wanted one of the best inside linebackers last season, but they missed out on the top guys. They have other needs, but adding someone would be crucial.

JOK can also move around the field to solve a lot of problems. He can play safety at times. He can blitz. He’s also going to make the players around him better with his leadership.

Owusu-Koramoah should be a lock to go in the first round, but he almost fell in this NFL mock draft. His value is higher than the 28th pick, so the Saints should be very happy with him falling in their lap.
