Alabama football’s report card in the SEC Championship

Quarterback: A

Bryce Young had his Heisman moment last week, but he needed to step up and bring his best if Alabama wanted to beat the Georgia Bulldogs. All the pressure was on the sophomore’s shoulders.

Young delivered in this one. This cemented his Heisman candidacy. At this point, he should easily win the award after leading Alabama football past the top-ranked Georgia defense.

Young manipulated the pocket. He used his legs to continue drives. He threw the ball with precision and accuracy. It was a challenge for Alabama football, but Young was ready to answer the call.

Kicking: P

The kicking unit did its job. There were no bad snaps or holds this week, but the Tide also did not attempt any hard field goals. All things considered, it was a win for Alabama football. You don’t want games to come down to kickers, and this one didn’t have to.

Punting: P

The punting passes as well. There were no long returns or major mistakes. It’s hard to win a game with special teams, but you can lose it easily with a major error. The Tide avoided these.

Next. Will Anderson is being disrespected. dark

Alabama football’s elite performance will be talked about all offseason. This was a great game by all units, and it puts the Tide in position to be the top seed in the College Football Playoff.
