OLB Jeremiah Alexander

The highest-rated commit in Alabama Football’s 2022 class comes from five-star edge rusher Jeremiah Alexander from Thompson High School in Alabaster, AL. An in-state product, Alexander is the top-ranked player in the state of Alabama, as well as the No. 1 edge rusher in the country and No. 8 overall player nationally.

A player who has seen time with the Warriors since his freshman season, Alexander is a multi-time Class 7A First-Team All-State selection, and posted a phenomenal high school career which included a combined 402 tackles, 34 sacks, and three Class 7A state championships. An elite pass rusher, Alexander is an early enrollee, and should see time next season.

OLB Jihaad Campbell

The second edge rusher in the Crimson Tide’s class comes from four-star Jihaad Campbell from IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. The No. 9 ranked edge rusher in the country, Campbell is also rated as the No. 11 player in Florida, as well as the No. 78 player nationally.

A former Clemson commit, Campbell spent the first three seasons of his high school career at Erial (NJ) where he saw time at wide receiver and defensive end before transferring to IMG Academy for his senior season. Campbell is an early enrollee.

LB Shawn Murphy

The lone inside linebacker in Alabama’s 2022 class is four-star Shawn Murphy from Unity Reed High School in Manassas, VA. The No. 2 player in the state of Virginia, Murphy is rated as the No. 5 overall linebacker in the country, as well as the No. 57 overall player nationally.

The winner of the 2021 High School Butkus Award as the nation’s top linebacker, Murphy has shined for the Unity Reed defense for years and is coming off a phenomenal 2021 season where he collected 113 tackles, six sacks, and two interceptions. Murphy is an early enrollee.
