LB Jaylen Moody

Jaylen Moody is a rare breed in the current college football landscape.

He is a redshirt senior who has played predominantly on special teams in his four years with the Crimson Tide. But, with the departure of Christian Harris and two other linebackers transferring, the time is now for Moody.

He has been a fan favorite for a couple of years now with his energetic play on special teams. He is also widely popular with his teammates for his determined attitude and hard-nose approach. Now he gets the chance to start in the middle of the defense alongside another experienced playmaker in Henry To’o To’o.

Whenever Moody has gotten the chance on defense, he flies to the ball with little regard for anything or anyone else. He is a great run-stopper and sure tackler. Seeing as he has never started at linebacker, it will be up to To’o To’o to help Moody in pass coverage.

Don’t be surprised when you see No. 42 flying all over the field at Bryant Denny Stadium Saturday night!
