  • Like many Alabama football fans, whichever Tide quarterback becomes QB1 and sticks is fine with me. The thing I want and expect is more respect to be earned by at least one of the guys. Recently I have seen Jalen Milroe projected by some pundits to be the 9th or 10th best SEC quarterback. My take is Alabama has at least four guys who are better than that and probably more than one of them can be much better. The flaw in such rankings is not accounting for the talent that will be around the Tide’s QB1. This is not to say that Jalen Milroe and other Tide QBs are lacking in talent. They are not. I will not be surprised if an Alabama QB becomes one of the top four or five in the SEC.
  • The overused but accurate description of the Crimson Tide running back group is loaded. So loaded that four guys are expected to share touches. All of the four are good enough to be the Tide’s lead back should Saban decide to have one. Rotating makes much more sense. So none of them will lead the SEC in rushing, but I predict two of them will be in the SEC’s top five in average yards per carry.
  • I expect Alabama to take on Georgia in Atlanta for the SEC Championship and to win. I also expect the Crimson Tide to play for the National Championship and I don’t expect a loss.

dark. Next. Tide offense leaning on strengths

A bonus thing I am looking for is nothing about the Crimson Tide. But the first time Auburn plays a real team, which will be Texas A&M, I expect the Aggies front seven will blow up Hugh Freeze’s new, transfer offensive line.
