  • In his three Alabama seasons, Will Anderson Jr. had 200 quarterback pressures, but after his exit, the Crimson Tide will get more frequent QB pressure in 2023. Alabama is blessed with outstanding talent and depth allowing it to send waves of fresh pass rushers against opposing offensive linemen.
  • In 2022 Alabama Football was one of college football’s least successful teams in turnover margin. Among all FBS teams, the Crimson Tide finished at No. 80. In the SEC, only Kentucky and Auburn were worse. At worst, look for the Crimson Tide to be in the top 40 FBS teams in that stat.
  • Even worse from the 2022 season was the Crimson Tide being tied with two other teams at No. 126 in penalties. Alabama was called for 103 penalties. By comparison, the Georgia Bulldogs were flagged 66 times even though the Dawgs played two more games than did the Tide.  Alabama was not great in the penalty stat in the 2020 season, but the Tide had only 78 penalties in that championship season. In showing much better discipline and fewer mental errors, the 2023 Crimson Tide will be at worst in the top 50 of all FBS teams.
