Coming off of a massive win over the nineteenth-ranked LSU Tigers the Alabama Football team remains the eighth-ranked team in the College Football Playoff Top 25. It would’ve been very hard for the Alabama Football Team to jump anyone ranked ahead of them with none of the higher-ranked teams winning. There are a few positives to take away from Tuesday night’s rankings for Alabama Football, however. The Committee ranks Alabama’s wins favorably, ranking Ole Miss ninth, Tennessee thirteenth, and LSU nineteenth. These wins could provide Alabama Football with a great resume come selection Sunday. The resume will take a ding this weekend if Ole Miss can’t defeat the Georgia Bulldogs but, being ranked so high Ole Miss shouldn’t slide outside of the Top 15. If the Tennessee Volunteers can knock off the fourteenth-ranked Missouri Tigers Ole Miss and Tennessee might just switch spots.

Alabama Football: Rooting for your resume

While the fans in Bryant Denny have choice things to say about LSU and Tennessee during the singing of Dixieland Delight, the Alabama fans shoot root for both the Tigers and Volunteers to win the rest of the way along with Ole Miss. While the Alabama Football team will likely make the playoff if they’re able to win the SEC Championship game, they will need their wins to remain strong wins come December. For the Crimson Tide, its playoff hopes will likely come down to whether or not the Tide is able to defeat Georgia in Atlanta for the Conference Title. The next three games Alabama Football can’t take another loss, as it would all but end their season. This weekend we may see a few teams ahead of Alabama take a loss as schedules continue to get harder with many of the Top 25 playing ranked opponents this week.
