The Alabama Crimson Tide consistently put out a wealth of NFL Draft prospects year in and year out, with many of them leading successful or highly prominent professional careers.
For the 2026 NFL Draft, it's more of the same, as 12 of Alabama's prospects got invited to participate in the NFL Combine.
There are plenty of landing spot projections for each of those names, and opinions differ on just how those players will fit and factor in with different teams in the conversation. Every analyst has their own opinion, and so does AI.
We asked ChatGPT exactly what it thought about each of its decisions, and detailed our thoughts on its 'analysis', if you can truly call it such a thing on Alabama's draft figures.
Where ChatGPT predicts each Alabama player will land in the 2026 NFL Draft
Kadyn Proctor, OT: Round 1, No. 17 to Detroit Lions
This one makes sense for the Lions to build in the trenches and address an area of need after Taylor Decker was released. Plus, Proctor's insanely massive 6-foot-7, 352 pound frame and general elite talent would appeal to any team. Expect him to play opposite of Penei Sewell.
Ty Simpson, QB: Round 1, No. 21 to Pittsburgh Steelers
Where does Ty Simpson fall in the quarterback rankings? This has been scattered, though there are multiple analysts who pin him as the second-best in this draft class. Clearly, ChatGPT views him as a signal-caller who will not fall out of the first round. However, Simpson may not be polished enough to be worth it for Pittsburgh to take him this early instead of prioritizing a different position.
Germie Bernard, WR: Round 3, No. 87 to Miami Dolphins
Given the depth at wide receiver, this one makes sense for a third-round selection. Bernard is a developmental prospect who is faster than he may be given credit for and his hands don't miss with very few drops. Miami has the chance to build a weapon here.
LT Overton, EDGE: Round 3, No. 79 overall to Atlanta Falcons
LT Overton only had seven sacks over four seasons, but his tape shows him to be a player with a lot of upside who can fit well into Atlanta's defensive scheme. However, this is way too early for a prospect of Overton's capacity to be taken off the board.
Deontae Lawson, LB: Round 4, No. 131 overall to New England Patriots
Not only is Lawson an eye-catching developmental prospect, but he fits exactly the type of linebacker the Patriots in specific like to pursue. It's why so many fans and analysts have publicly harped on the team to make sure this one goes down on Day 3. He'll add something special to New England's depth alongside Chad Muma, K.J. Britt and Otis Reese IV.Â
Parker Brailsford, OL: Round 4, No. 139 overall to San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers' zone-blocking scheme and how well Brailsford plays into just that could end up being a match made in heaven. Jake Brendel is only getting older as a veteran and Brailsford has the perfect opportunity to develop behind him as a future starter. ChatGPT did it right on this prediction, with the possibility of the Alabama product being seen as a steal in the future.
Jaeden Roberts, OL: Round 4, No. 129 overall to Chicago Bears
ChatGPT sees Chicago continuing to stack protection pieces here, saying it's a top priority for the Bears to continuously build in. Some Bears fans are rightly opposed to that because of just how much developing Roberts still has to do. His poor footwork and movement issues are worth Chicago passing on.
Tim Keenan III, DL: Round 6, No. 211 to Baltimore Ravens
Does it make sense for the Ravens to got for a rotational defensive lineman at this point the draft? ChatGPT votes yes with gusto on this move. This is a wise option for the Ravens, who get a run defender with potential to become more polished.
Domani Jackson, CB: Round 6, No, 204 to Los Angeles Chargers
ChatGPT sees Jackson as a traits-based developmental performer who could help the Chargers out deep on the depth chart. Speed and his experience in press-man and zone coverage have appeal for Los Angeles.
ChatGPT made multiple mistakes in its number projections and did not provide any further projections for Alabama, outside of pinning linebacker Justin Jefferson to the Dallas Cowboys, tight end Josh Cuevas to the Green Bay Packers and running back Jam Miller to the Las Vegas Raiders as undrafted free agents.
