This Alabama baseball team might have something special. The Crimson Tide came into Sunday's game at 7-0 and regardless of the result against Ohio State could feel satisfied with getting a couple of wins at the Jax Baseball Classic, especially after knocking off No. 12 NC State on Saturday.

They looked like a team satisfied with their result in the early going on Sunday, falling behind 10-0 in the 4th inning against the Buckeyes. Most teams would have packed it in and gotten out of Jacksonville content with a 2-1 mark.

But this Crimson Tide team refused to die. Justin Lebron got them on the board with a three-run home run in the bottom of the 4th inning. But Alabama still entered the 7th inning trailing by seven runs and little hope of a major comeback.

But Alabama kept chipping away and Lebron did what he does - he hit another three-run home run in the 7th inning moments after a Richie Bonomolo Jr. RBI single to cut the Buckeyes lead to 10-7. In the 8th, Kade Snell ripped a two-RBI double down the line to cut Alabama's deficit to just a single run, setting up some ninth-inning heroics.

Then Will Hodo happened.

Hodo cranked a three-run, walk-off home run to complete the miraculous Alabama comeback to beat Ohio State 12-10 and move to 8-0 on the season, finishing off a productive weekend in Jacksonville at 3-0 and stating its case as a team to be reckoned with in college baseball this season.

Alabama's bullpen deserves a ton of credit for the comeback, too. They held Ohio State scoreless for the final five innings to open the possibility of a comeback for Lebron, Hodo, and company.

Lefty reliever Tate Robertson pitched a nearly perfect final three innings, giving up just one hit and striking out four.

Alabama a perfect 3-0 at the Jax Baseball Classic

Alabama came into this weekend's matchups in Jacksonville, Florida with a perfect 5-0 record, but they had yet to be tested. They swept Bradley to open the season and then beat overmatched opponents in Middle Tennessee State and Alabama State in the middle of the week. Their first real taste of competition was going to come this weekend and they answered the bell.

The Crimson Tide rolled over Coastal Carolina on Friday, winning 9-2 thanks to patience at the plate and 12 walks. Pitching led the show on Saturday as Alabama blanked No. 12 NC State 4-0 for its first ranked win of the season. And then on Sunday, the Tide staged one of the most miraculous comebacks you'll ever see in college baseball.

Rob Vaughn and his team will head back to Tuscaloosa with their heads held high and a tremendous amount of confidence that they are never truly out of a game. Alabama will be back on the diamond at the Joe on Tuesday against Jacksonville State. They'll face a three-game series next weekend against North Dakota State in Tuscaloosa.
