There was a packed list of visitors this weekend in Tuscaloosa, as Kalen DeBoer and Alabama were working overtime in trying to impress touted recruits. They seemed to get the job done there with 5-star quarterback Elijah Haven, who made a return trip to campus for a Junior Day event.
Alabama adds depth with former Tennessee RB joining the Tide
It wasn't just Haven who left the weekend visit with a smile on his face. Thanks to reporter Brett Greenberg, we got an inside look at how the family is feeling about things and it's safe to say DeBoer continues to make quite the impact. Could it lead to Alabama picking up his commitment in the near future? That's certainly what the fanbase is hoping for:
Added several thoughts from Haven’s father to the story, including:

“They are very intentional about the way they recruit, which we appreciate & most of all — the culture is environment condusive to development on and off the field …” https://t.co/e6cTnBeVwD
5-star QB Elijah Haven had another memorable trip to Alabama
From our chair, it feels like the Crimson Tide are in a pretty good spot, but it's of course not going to be easy to grab Haven's pledge. Just a few weeks ago, Haven revealed he's still considering his top four of Alabama, Auburn, Florida and Georgia.
Haven is going to be SEC-bound no matter what, but it's up in the air where he ends up. It's important to note that several predictions have come in for Bama to pull this off, including one from Greenberg back during the fall.
Since then, however, no one has stopped recruiting Haven and things aren't going to slow down for him until he makes things official with his school of choice come next December during the Early Signing Period. Still, the fact that his dad is talking up the staff like this feels promising.
According to the 247Sports rankings, the 6-5, 215-pounder is listed at five stars, the No. 1 quarterback in the country and the No. 2 prospect overall for the 2027 class - he also holds 18 offers to his name. It feels like Haven could be inching closer towards a decision and Bama is fully in the race, probably leading it too.
