Alabama is looking to add some depth to its WR room even after adding NC State's Noah Rogers in the Transfer Portal. His addition still only gives the Crimson Tide six scholarship WRs at the moment. They'd like to add two or three more out of the portal, if possible.

A new name emerged on the radar on Thursday. If you're looking for players who have been productive, you won't find many who did it better this season than Yale transfer WR Nico Brown, an FCS All-American in 2025.

Brown led the nation in receiving yards per game at 108.5. He produced 1085 yards and 11 touchdowns in just 10 games this season for the Bulldogs. He's a highly sought-after player who is currently making the visit rounds as he prepares for an FCS-to-FBS jump.

Currently on a visit to Washington, Brown is now expected to visit Alabama sometime this weekend, as first reported by CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz:

FCS All-American WR Nico Brown scheduled to visit Alabama

Brown had a breakout season for Yale this year and has one year of eligibility remaining. His 1085 yards finished as the third-most in school history, according to his Yale Athletics page.

Brown's athleticism won't jump off the film, but he's an excellent possession receiver who catches everything in his vicinity. He also runs really good routes. He would be an intriguing addition to a Crimson Tide WR room that lacks much depth and proven production.

Alabama will return two productive players at WR in Ryan Williams and Lotzeir Brooks. Rico Scott and Derek Meadows are also back, but there hasn't been much production between the two. Rogers has over 900 yards in the last two seasons at NC State and will compete with Scott/Meadows for the WR3 spot in the spring.

You also can't count out incoming freshman Cederian Morgan, who turned heads during Rose Bowl practices and could compete for playing time sooner rather than later.

But Alabama needs more bodies, and Brown is an excellent upside swing for a kid who had excellent production at the FCS level and would be a reliable target for a first-time starting QB in Austin Mack or Keelon Russell.
