Hey Siri, show me what being on a heater looks like.
Oh look, a picture of Kalen DeBoer.
For the third day in a row, DeBoer and Alabama landed a commitment from a WR. This time, it's a 5-star, in-state star Cederian Morgan, who chose the home-state Crimson Tide over offers from pretty much every program in the country. The Benjamin Russell standout's decision ultimately came down to Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, and Colorado.

It's another massive recruiting win for DeBoer and the Tide staff. Morgan joins 3-stars Owen Cabell and Brian Williams, who committed to Alabama on Monday and Tuesday, respectively, as receivers in the 2026 class. Morgan is the headliner while Cabell and Williams are upside additions, and more evidence of the new norm in recruiting in the revenue-sharing era.
Morgan becomes the fourth 5-star addition to Alabama's class, and the third to pledge to the Crimson Tide in the last six days. Alabama added 5-star RB Ezavier Crowell last Thursday, and then 5-star LB Xavier Griffin on Sunday. It looks likely that Alabama will add yet another 5-star to the class on Saturday when safety Jireh Edwards announces his decision.
Morgan ranks as the No. 2 WR in the 2026 class and the No. 12 overall player in the 247 composite. He's a 6-foot-4, 210-pound possession receiver with contested catch ability. He's exactly the type of receiver that DeBoer, OC Ryan Grubb, and WR coach JaMarcus Shephard covet.
Morgan gives Alabama three of the top five players in the state of Alabama for the 2026 cycle, joining Crowell and 4-star CB Zyan Gibson. The Tide is among the lead group for another in 5-star EDGE Anthony 'Tank' Jones.
Cederian Morgan completes a strong WR haul for the 2026 class for Alabama
Alabama is done at WR for the 2026 class. Guys like Tristen Keys and Boobie Feaster will still flirt with the Crimson Tide, and you can bet when they announce any "final decisions" that it will be noted that they chose their schools "over" Alabama. That's just the way it works.
But the truth is that Alabama isn't actively recruiting either at this point. There's a reason it was Alabama that cancelled on Keys and not the other way around.
DeBoer is happy with the class Alabama is set to sign in December at WR. Morgan is the headliner as the 5-star, can't-miss type of prospect. He'll get the lion's share of the available revenue-sharing dollars allocated to the position group for this class.
Cabell and Williams are both upside swings. Shephard watched Cabell work out at a camp in Tuscaloosa and zeroed in on him. He watched Williams at his high school, and ultimately liked both as under-recruited gems.
Neither of them will be all that expensive, barring a major blow-up during their senior season of high school, but both have the potential to be starting receivers in Tuscaloosa down the road.
It's the best of all worlds for this group. You get the splashy pick-up in Morgan, and then a couple of guys whom the staff evaluated and coveted.
