There's no denying that the Alabama Crimson Tide is out for blood as the team heads to Norman for the first round of the College Football Playoff.
As the No. 9 Tide looks for revenge against the No. 8 Oklahoma Sooners, it's about more than correcting the loss from the regular season; it's about rectifying the disrespect that was sent in Alabama's direction at its home stadium.
From trying to take pictures on the Crimson Tide's center logo after the win to direct disrespect tossed in players' direction, Oklahoma wasn't exactly the picture of good sportsmanship after pulling off the upset win.
Now, as Alabama prepares to take on the Sooners once again, veteran linebacker Justin Jefferson is assuring everyone that the disrespect will be addressed on the field.
Alabama is ready to put Oklahoma in its place
"I know if I was out there, that stuff wouldn't be going on," Jefferson said. "That type of disrespect will be addressed on the field, and we just got to go give it to them."
There is no pregame disrespect or trash talking, just pure and genuine revenge once the kickoff whistle is blown.
Yes, Oklahoma came to Tuscaloosa, marched into Bryant-Denny Stadium, stormed onto Nick Saban Field, and beat the Crimson Tide during the regular season. However, the postseason game is clearly about more than just a win.

It's about revenge, it's about righting a wrong, it's about moving on to the next round of the playoffs, proving that one team is the truly dominant program and not the other way around.
Even with the game taking place at the Sooners' home and Oklahoma being the higher-ranked team, the Tide is favored in the first-round matchup; a perfect storm for the Tide to ruin OU's hopes for a deep run in the postseason.
No. 9 Alabama and No. 8 Oklahoma are scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. CT on Friday, Dec. 19, and fans can tune into the game on ABC or ESPN.
