Last night, the Crimson Tide cemented itself as the No. 2 seed in the SEC Men's Basketball Tournament as Alabama routed the Auburn Tigers and secured the 96-84 victory.

Now, the Tide has to wait to see who they will play as the team enjoys byes through the first two rounds of the conference tournament, and after that, the road ahead is highly favorable for Alabama to make its way to the SEC Championship.

Bama will likely face the Georgia Bulldogs, unless whoever wins the first-round game between the Ole Miss Rebels and Texas Longhorns pulls off the unlikely upset.

Alabama likely to get revenge game against Georgia

Of course, just a few days ago, the Bulldogs upset the Crimson Tide in their regular-season meeting, but beating an SEC team, especially one of Alabama's caliber, twice in one year is as hard as a task can be.

Alabama head coach Nate Oats and his team are staring down just two games before the SEC Tournament final, where they would likely face the No. 1-seed Florida Gators.

The biggest hurdle ahead of them? The third-seeded Arkansas Razorbacks, who just scraped by their win over the unranked Missouri Tigers.

Alabama and Arkansas would likely meet in the semifinals of the SEC Tournament, barring an upset by one of the three teams in the Hogs' branch of the bracket (No. 6 Texas A&M, No. 11 Oklahoma, or No. 14 South Carolina).

Then, with Florida being the odds' favorite to win it all, Oats and the Crimson Tide would only need to pull off one upset of their own to clinch the SEC title for the third time in six years (2021, 2023, 2026).

Alabama's first postseason game (against Georgia, Texas, or Ole Miss) is scheduled to tip off at 6 p.m. CT on Friday, March 13, and the game will be broadcast on the SEC Network.

After the SEC Tournament, comes the Big Dance (obviously), and right now, the Tide is expected to be a No. 3 or No. 4 seed. If Alabama secures the SEC Championship win, Oats and the Crimson Tide might be staring down an even higher seed in the NCAA Tournament.
