While the LSU-Alabama game won't actually be on the first Saturday of November this season, and even though the Crimson Tide is a top-four team and the Tigers are unranked, the rivalry game is still set to be as raucous as ever.

Now, the Tide has a little extra pressure coming from the sidelines. No, it isn't from head coach Kalen DeBoer or anyone on LSU's roster. It's from five-star EDGE prospect David "DJ" Jacobs.

Jacobs, a Georgia native, is the No. 1 prospect in the class of 2027 scheduled a visit to Tuscaloosa over the coming weekend, right as the Tigers come to town. While Alabama is heavily favored to win the matchup, all bets are off when rivals come to town.

5-star EDGE David Jacobs looking to Alabama

Unsurprisingly, Jacobs has received offers from across the country, including from the Crimson Tide and the LSU Tigers, as well as his home-state team, the Georgia Bulldogs.

He most recently visited the Tennessee Volunteers as they lost to the Oklahoma Sooners, yet he was still impressed by what the Vols had to offer. So, a trip to Tuscaloosa and time with the Tide could undeniably turn Jacobs' attention toward Alabama.

As of now, On3 and Rivals give the Bulldogs a 36 percent chance to land Jacobs' commitment, followed by the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at 13.8 percent, the South Carolina Gamecocks at eight percent, the Miami Hurricanes at 6.7 percent, and finally the Crimson Tide at 3.5 percent.

A successful visit, especially coupled with a dominant win over LSU, could result in Alabama leapfrogging at least a few programs in Jacobs' recruitment process.

No. 4 Alabama (7-1 overall, 5-0 SEC) and unranked LSU (5-3 overall, 2-3 SEC) are scheduled to kick off at 6:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, Nov. 8, and the game will be broadcast on ABC.
