The streak continues!
It hasn't reached The Undertaker at Wrestlemania years yet, but much like The Deadman winning a match every Wrestlemania (until he didn't), you can rely on Alabama football producing at least one first-round NFL Draft pick every year.
There was a time in the pre-draft process that Alabama's 17-year streak looked like it could come to an end. Neither Kadyn Proctor nor Ty Simpson looked like a first-round guarantee. But then Proctor tore it up at the NFL Combine and Alabama's Pro Day, and it became obvious that he wasn't going to fall out of the first day of the draft, not with his size, strength, and ridiculous athleticism.
In the end, there was nothing to ever worry about. Proctor was selected No. 12 overall by the Miami Dolphins, one spot ahead of his quarterback, Ty Simpson, who was taken No. 13 by the Los Angeles Rams.

Kadyn Proctor selected No. 12 overall by the Miami Dolphins to continue Alabama's NFL Draft streak
Proctor's selection marked the 18th consecutive season an Alabama player has been selected in the first round of the NFL Draft. That's the longest active streak of any school, and it's also the most in history.
When Simpson was selected one pick later, it extended another Alabama NFL Draft streak. For 10 straight years, the Crimson Tide has had multiple first-round selections.
Proctor helps to replenish the Alabama cupboards in Miami after the Dolphins had a Crimson Tide fire sale this offseason by cutting Tua Tagovailoa and then trading both Jaylen Waddle and Minkah Fitzpatrick.
Proctor is one of the most physically imposing players in the draft. He was a three-year starter at left tackle for Alabama, enjoying an up-and-down career in Tuscaloosa that included a momentary transfer to Iowa after Nick Saban's retirement before he came back. He finished his career by being named a consensus All-American and winning the SEC's Jacobs Blocking Trophy as the top offensive lineman in the league.
Whether he's a tackle or if his long-term NFL future is at guard, Proctor has all the ability to become an All-Pro.
