Hunter Yurachek now has Alabama fans worried sick over insane CFP comment

How is this even a possibility?

You've got to be kidding. On Saturday, Alabama and Georgia will face off in the SEC title game and the expectation is that both teams are fighting to improve their CFP seeding, with the two projected to be locks for the final 12. Hold the phone on that.

How the Alabama Crimson Tide can and show beat the Georgia Bulldogs

While on ESPN's College GameDay on Saturday morning, CFP Committee Chair Hunter Yurachek essentially refused to confirm that Bama already has a seat at the table. So, if Bama goes down against Georgia for its third loss of the season, does that mean Kalen DeBoer and Co. could potentially fall out of the Playoff?

Alabama and Georgia are playing for more than just an SEC title on Saturday

Again, you've got to be kidding. If Alabama does end up losing and gets screwed out of a trip to the CFP, then it's going to create so much more controversy than there already is regarding the Playoff. Why would teams even want to play in their conference title games if this proves to be true?

Hopefully this is just Yurachek being careful with his words, but at the same time the fact that he has opened this window is downright infuriating. A quick look on social media shows that people are not happy with his latest comments and that's not a surprise at all.

The Crimson Tide are 10-2 on the season, suffering losses to Florida State and Oklahoma. As things stand, the Tide are ranked No. 9 in the committee's eyes, but teams like Notre Dame and Miami aren't too far behind.

Notre Dame and Miami supporters continue to argue on why their team should reach the CFP, and that's going to continue all the way up to Sunday. Alabama can silence any speculation by posting a win over Georgia - that's what everyone in Tuscaloosa is hoping for. If a loss indeed is posted, though, then people might be ready to hit the panic button thanks to what Yurachek said to the GameDay crew.
