Day one of Senior Bowl practices this week in Mobile was a struggle for Alabama QB Jalen Milroe. His flaws were on full display as he struggled with his short and intermediate accuracy and had some alarming missed throws in one-on-one drills that you don't normally see.

To Milroe's credit, he has improved throughout the week in Mobile despite the practices not being set up to show his greatest strength: his ability to extend plays and beat you with his legs.

Milroe has hit some eye-popping throws in the last couple of days of practices in Mobile. He's still struggled with his accuracy in the short and intermediate, but he's hit some throws down the field and scouts have noted the difference between Milroe's arm and the other QBs in attendance.

Milroe came into the week with aspirations to work himself into the first round conversations, but the consensus coming out of Mobile seems to point to him being a day two pick. I think that's too early to say at the moment because it only takes one team falling in love with you to pick you. And Milroe has a lot to love.

Sure, there's concerns over his accuracy and his ability to process what he's seeing from the defense. But the physical traits are there and he's among the best athletes in the 2025 NFL Draft class.

Patience will be the key for whichever NFL team drafts Milroe in April. He's going to take time to develop before he's ready to play. If he's given time to sit behind a veteran QB and learn - maybe he has a couple of packages where his athleticism is utilized - then he has a chance to blossom with the right coaching.

But if a team drafts him with the hopes of him being the immediate franchise-altering savior, then things are going to derail quickly for Milroe and his NFL team.

All eyes will continue to be on Milroe as Senior Bowl practices wrap up on Friday, culminating in the game on Saturday afternoon.
