Alabama has been pretty banged up along the defensive line in the early part of the 2025 season. Tim Keenan suffered a high-ankle sprain during practice leading up to the Florida State game and has yet to play this season. His backup, Jeremiah Beaman, suffered a torn ACL in practice the very next week. Now, star DL LT Overton suffered an undisclosed injury during the second half of Alabama's 38-14 rout of Wisconsin. Fortunately, the update on him is much more positive.
Kalen DeBoer told the media in Birmingham prior to speaking to the Monday Morning Quarterback Club that Overton should be good to go for the Crimson Tide's matchup against Georgia in two weeks:
Asked Kalen DeBoer about the status of Alabama DE LT Overton, who left the Wisconsin game in the fourth quarter with an injury.

"I would expect him to play."
Kalen DeBoer's LT Overton update is good news for Alabama
Alabama really couldn't afford any more attrition along the defensive line, especially with a matchup against a physical Georgia team on the horizon. It will be all hands on deck up front against a Bulldogs team that just overwhelmed Tennessee's defensive line.
Alabama expects to have Tim Keenan make his season debut against Georgia, and the extra week of rest should be good for Keenan and Overton to get 100% healthy. The Tide will need both.
Overton recorded his first sack of the season in Saturday's win over Wisconsin. He beat a double-team to take down O'Neil, grasping ahold of the Wisconsin QB's leg and not letting go:

Overton has struggled to finish plays in the backfield since arriving at Alabama via the Transfer Portal last season. He has been elite at winning his 1-on-1 matchups and getting to the quarterback, but he managed only two sacks last season. His first of the 2025 season set off a chain reaction on Saturday as Alabama produced four sacks on the day, finally creating some havoc this season.
Coming into the game, Alabama had just one sack on the season, and that came from safety Keon Sabb. The front-seven had been shutout, but Overton got the party started against the Badgers. Qua Russaw, London Simmons, and Yhonzae Pierre followed his lead later in the game.
Alabama will need Overton - and everyone else - to play at a high level against Georgia in two weeks to have a shot at pulling out a victory on the road.
