Alabama has now added a second big man commitment with SEC experience out of the Transfer Portal this week.
While hosting him for an official visit, Nate Oats and the Crimson Tide landed a commitment from Mississippi State transfer Jamarion Davis-Fleming, a former 4-star recruit who spent his freshman season as a rotational player for the Bulldogs:

Mississippi State's Jamarion Davis-Fleming commits to Alabama
Davis-Fleming is the younger brother of Javian Davis-Fleming, who played on Nate Oats' first Crimson Tide team before transferring to Mississippi State and then UAB.
Davis-Fleming joins Kentucky's Brandon Garrison as additions in the Transfer Portal for the Crimson Tide so far. He signals another clear sign of a changing philosophy for bigs for Oats this offseason.
Like Garrison, Davis-Fleming is 6-foot-10 and hyper athletic. He's not going to stretch the floor as a shooter, but he's a good rebounder, shot blocker, and he can do some real damage around the rim. He shot 76.2% on non-dunk two's near the rim, and had 28 dunks, per Bart Torvik.
His counting stats may not seem like much at 3.7 points and 4.8 rebounds per game, but that came in just over 20 minutes per game while playing for a bad team. He's an obvious fit for Alabama's system with his ability as a rim-runner and a guy who should clean up on the glass and defend the rim at a high level.
Alabama is likely still in the market for a four in the portal, but with Davis-Fleming, Garrison, and the hopeful healthy return of Collins Onyejiaka, who was a 4-star signee in last year's recruiting class, the Crimson Tide may be set at the center position.
Neither Garrison nor Davis-Fleming will be able to replace what Aiden Sherrell brought to the team, but they'll be upgrades in certain ways, particularly on the glass and with their switchability on the defensive end.
Alabama still has some needs in the portal, particularly with a four-man and then a guard or maybe even two, depending on the uncertain future of Aden Holloway.
