Nate Oats has been busy in the Transfer Portal, landing two commitments for Alabama this week.

On Sunday, the Crimson Tide landed Kentucky big man Brandon Garrison. Alabama followed that up on Wednesday by getting a commitment from Mississippi State big man Jamarion Davis-Fleming.

Now, Oats could be on the verge of landing another player.

Former 4-star, Top 100 recruit Cole Cloer, whom Alabama had high interest in on the recruiting trail before he signed with Will Wade and NC State, is in the Transfer Portal and appears to be trending toward the Crimson Tide.

His On3 profile reflects a prediction added on Thursday for him to land with Alabama.

Alabama picks up predicition to land NC State transfer Cole Cloer

Cloer is a North Carolina native who took a redshirt year at NC State this year. He enrolled early after suffering an injury during his senior year of high school basketball, choosing to join the Wolfpack in January. He wasn't eligible to play, however, and used his redshirt year. He'll have four years of eligibility remaining.

So what would Alabama be getting in Cloer?

Simply put, one of the elite shooters from the high school ranks with terrific length and 3-and-D potential at 6-foot-7. 247's Director of Scouting Adam Finkelstein wrote this about Cloer last summer:

"Cloer is a big-time shooter of the basketball who also possesses good wing size and bounce at the rim. He has a high and compact release, gets beautiful loft and rotation on his ball, and is a threat to make all different types of shots. He can make threes on the move or off the dribble, knocked down 43% of his open spot-up threes in EYBL play, and also has a complimenting pull-up game with his ability to score overtop of most opposing wings. Most of all, he has that outward confidence and swagger that almost all great shot-makers share."
Adam Finkelstein

Cloer seems like a perfect fit for Alabama's system and is another player who will add some excellent length to Alabama's wing depth.

Oats has been hell-bent on getting bigger everywhere on the roster, from the backcourt to the wing to the frontcourt. Cloer would be another to help him accomplish that mission.
