On Monday the SEC released every team's conference opponents for the 2024-25 season. The SEC regular season will begin on Jan. 4 and conclude on Mar. 8. Alabama Basketball's, SEC home-and-home opponents will be Auburn, Mississippi State, and Kentucky.
Every SEC basketball team will have at least one game against the SEC's other 15 teams. Alabama's road schedule is filled with demanding games. In way-too-early bracketology, seven of the Alabama Crimson Tide's nine SEC road games are against teams projected to make the NCAA Tournament.
Dates, times and TV schedules will be provided later by the SEC.
- Alabama Crimson Tide Home SEC Opponents: Auburn Tigers, Florida Gators, Georgia Bulldogs, Kentucky Wildcats, LSU Bengal Tigers, Ole Miss Rebels, Mississippi State Bulldogs, Oklahoma Sooners, and Vanderbilt Commodores. Florida and Ole Miss are also projected to be NCAA Tournament teams.
- Alabama Crimson Tide Road SEC Opponents: Arkansas Razorbacks, Auburn Tigers, Kentucky Wildcats, Mississippi State Bulldogs, Missouri Tigers, South Carolina Gamecocks, Tennessee Vols, Texas Longhorns and Texas A&M Aggies.
The Alabama Crimson Tide out-of-conference is not complete. So far, Alabama will host Will Wade and McNeese State, the Creighton Bluejays (Dec. 14 in Tuscaloosa), play Illinois in Birmingham, and travel to West Lafayette, IN to play Purdue. During Thanksgiving week, Alabama Basketball will take part in the Players Era Tournament in Las Vegas. The eight-team tournament field includes Houston, San Diego State, Rutgers, Oregon, Texas A&M, Notre Dame and Creighton. Alabama is also expected to play an ACC opponent to be announced at a later date.
The conference schedule could prove to be the most demanding one of the Nate Oats era in Tuscaloosa. In two of those seasons, the Crimson Tide lost just two conference games. Last season the SEC record was 13-5.
For the seventh time in the last nine seasons, the SEC Tournament will be held at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena. The dates for the tournament are Mar. 12- 16.
