Alabama Football has gotten off to a strong start in the 2025 recruiting cycle under new coach Kalen DeBoer.

This weekend’s A-Day game will provide the program with a fantastic opportunity to impress a haul of blue-chip recruits that will be in attendance. Alabama looks to put an impressive product on the field, and the spring game atmosphere should be among the best in the sport with all the excitement surrounding DeBoer and the changes he has initiated.

In addition to a crop of 2024 summer enrollees and a few 2025 verbal commits, standouts such as 4-star defensive lineman Michael Carroll, 4-star edge rusher Justin Hill, 4-star linebacker Jaedon Harmon, 4-star wideout Naeshaun Montgomery, and 3-star defensive lineman Josiah Sharma will all be on campus. These 2025 products are all heavily considering the Crimson Tide, and will be on hand among tens of thousands of Bama fans to witness what should be a spectacle of an A-Day game.

Interestingly, these are all out of state prospects. However, Bama is also welcoming in in-state 2025 verbal commits Derick Smith and Myles Johnson. It will be critical for Coach DeBoer to assert dominance in the state throughout his first recruiting cycle, and these two (along with 4-star running back Turbo Rogers and 4-star defensive lineman Antonio Coleman) figure to set a strong example. The final 2025 commitment that is expected to attend A-Day is 4–star linebacker Duke Johnson. The super-athletic Georgia product is currently the highest-ranked commit in Bama’s 2025 class.

With summer approaching, look for Alabama Football to continue to prioritize recruiting. Coach DeBoer and his staff are firmly positioned within the top-10 and only appear primed to climb the recruiting rankings as the cycle goes on. If things go well, A-Day could sway some big-time prospects in the Tide’s favor.
