The Alabama Football team has landed another four-star linebacker in Rome, Georgia's Jaedon Harmon. Harmon ranks as the 25th-ranked linebacker in the class and the 218th overall recruit. Harmon joins a loaded group at linebacker including fellow Georgia natives Darrell Johnson and Luke Metz as well as Myles Johnson and Abduall Sanders Jr. The Crimson Tide beat out LSU, Clemson, Auburn, and six other schools in his top ten for Harmon.
Kalen DeBoer and the coaching staff did an incredible job as of late with Harmon heavily expected to land at Clemson up until April. The Tide hosted Harmon this weekend for A-Day seemingly sealing the deal. This marks the second post-A-Day commitment as the Tide landed New Jersey speedster Lotzeir Brooks.
Fellow Linebacker commit Darrell Johnson seemingly called his shot on this commitment:
Harmon is impressive in coverage, with an ability to cover receivers in both man and zone coverage. What Harmon lacks in size he makes up for with speed and versatility flashing as an edge rusher, in coverage, and in stopping the run.
The major concern with Kalen DeBoer coming to Alabama was his ability to recruit the South having never coached in the SEC. Since his hiring, DeBoer has landed two recruits from Georgia; two recruits from Alabama, and has held two Saban holdovers from Alabama.
The visits to Tuscaloosa have been important
Coming out of every massive recruiting weekend the sentiment has been how impressive the coaching staff and facilities are. It's important that the Alabama Football facilities were updated so recently as with NIL spending it's unlikely it'll happen as often. The players have come out of these visits raving about their meetings with Robert Gillespie, Freddie Roach, JaMarcus Shephard, and the other positional coaches. The staff has shown the recruits their vision and how great of a place Tuscaloosa is and it's seemingly paying off.
