Jalen Milroe the Alabama Football starting quarterback announced he will return for his Senior season on Next Round Live Thursday morning. This was expected but still massive news for the Alabama Football Team returning a Heisman Candidate for 2024. Milroe passed for 2,728 yards and 23 touchdowns while rushing for 468 yards and twelve touchdowns. After finishing sixth in the Heisman race Milroe will enter the 2024 season as one of if not the Heisman Frontrunner.

The Alabama offense will be one of the most talented units in the country in 2024 returning Jalen Milroe, Isaiah Bond, Kendrick Law, Kobe Prentice, and a few other high-caliber starters. As Milroe enters his first full off-season as the starter with a full off-season in Tommy Rees' system could provide for a more explosive offense than we saw this season. There will be a few new starters at right tackle, running back, and wide receiver but the offense will have continuity we haven't seen returning for next season.

The Alabama quarterback room is full for now. With this week's arrival of Julian Sayin, the Crimson Tide will have five scholarship QBs again. That likely means at least one will decide to transfer, but who or when is not yet known.

Alabama Football: High expectations for 2024 season

The Alabama Football team will come into the season with massive expectations coming off of a playoff appearance and an SEC Championship. The Crimson Tide are expected to hit the transfer portal hard, hosting many potential starters on the defense to replace the departing Dallas Turner, Chris Braswell, and some defensive backs. The defense will have the most retooling to do as they'll lose at minimum four high-caliber starters to the NFL Draft. The Alabama Football team will have to replace Dallas Turner, Chris Braswell, Kool-Aid McKinstry, and Terrion Arnold among other players that may enter the NFL Draft or the transfer portal. Returning the Starting Quarterback after making it to the College Football Playoff is massive for continuity following an offseason where you replaced both coordinators and the starting quarterback leading to a slow start offensively.
