The Alabama Football team continues its hot streak on the recruiting trail as the Tide has landed four-star cornerback Chuck McDonald. The four-star cornerback hails from Mater Dei Prep in California where the Tide have landed Bryce Young and Zabien Brown from out of High School and transfers Elias Ricks and Domani Jackson.
McDonald is the ninth-ranked cornerback in the country and the 82nd overall recruit according to On3's Industry Rankings. McDonald is the 4th top 100 commit for Kalen DeBoer joining Darrell Johnson, Derick Smith, and Keelon Russell. The commitment of McDonald moves Alabama back ahead of Georgia for the Nation's sixth-ranked recruiting class.
The Crimson Tide seemingly beat out USC with their final official visit as the staff did an excellent job involving Domani Jackson and Zabien Brown in the recruitment. Thus far, the Alabama Football program is dominating the Summer Official Visits landing Keelon Russell, Chuck McDonald, and Dawson Merritt while making strong impressions on several other top recruits.
The Crimson Tide will now look to keep their recruiting hot streak going with five-star cornerback Dijon Lee as the California native will announce his commitment on June 28th. The cornerback is seemingly between Georgia and Alabama with the Bulldogs hosting Lee on June 7th while the Tide get the final visit before he commits with a June 21st visit.
Summer visits paying massive dividends for Alabama Football
Thus far, the Alabama Football team has concluded one weekend of official visits and has landed commitments from Keelon Russell and Chuck McDonald. This weekend will be another pivotal weekend as Alabama Football looks to land a commitment from top 100 prospect Dawson Merritt who has Alabama as one of his two finalists. The summer weekend visitor lists have been star-studded early on for Kalen DeBoer and his staff and if they can continue to impress recruits, they may finish with one of the Nation's best recruiting classes.
