Alabama Football lands a commitment from five-star Wide Receiver Caleb Cunningham

If there was just one winner on the recruiting trail this Summer it would be Alabama Football and Head Coach Kalen DeBoer. The Tide reeled in more commitments than any other school in the month of June skyrocketing the Alabama Football recruiting class to the second-ranked recruiting class.

The Tide have landed easily the best recruit they have so far today with five-star wide receiver Caleb Cunningham announcing his commitment to Kalen DeBoer and his staff.

Caleb Cunningham is ranked as the 14th-best player in the class and the second-ranked wide receiver in the recruiting class according to On3's industry rankings. The Alabama Football team now has three five-star commits according to the industry rankings in Quarterback Keelon Russell, Cornerback Dijon Lee, and Wide Receiver Caleb Cunningham. According to the On3 Industry Ranking, the Tide now hold nine top-100 commitments in this class.

The job that Kalen DeBoer and Wide Receivers coach JaMarcus Shephard did with recruiting Caleb Cunningham was incredible. Heading into Cunningham's final visit it appeared that the Mississippi Native was staying home or heading to Auburn however, Kalen DeBoer and his staff quickly took the top spot in his recruitment.

A few more targets left to reel in for Alabama Football

Alabama Football now has 22 commitments in this signing class meaning they're nearing the end in this recruiting class as they'll likely sign about 25 players. The Tide still has a few main targets in five-star offensive tackle Ty Haywood, four-star linebacker Ty Jackson, and top-50 recruit running back Akylin Dear.

After landing Cunningham, the Tide are in a great position to land the rest of their targets as they've built a strong relationship with every recruit that has stepped onto campus. The narrative around Kalen DeBoer has gone from "he won't be able to recruit" to "this has to be Saban recruiting or NIL spending."
