Alabama Football lands one of its top targets in Guard Michael Carroll
The Alabama Football team's hot streak on the recruiting trail has continued as Kalen DeBoer and his staff have landed a commitment from offensive lineman Michael Carroll. On3 ranks the interior offensive lineman as the 27th-best player in the country and the 2nd-best interior offensive lineman in the class. The commitment from Carroll gives Alabama its fifth top-100 recruit as he joins Duke Johnson, Keelon Russell, Lotzeir Brooks, and Derick Smith.
This summer is off to a scorching start for Kalen DeBoer and his staff as they've landed three highly touted recruits while also picking up crystal ball predictions for Mal Waldrep and Dawson Merritt. The Tide also have appeared to emerge as the front runner for 2026 recruit Cederian Morgan who received an offer after a stellar camp showing.
The staff did an incredible job in landing Michael Carroll as they made him a top priority and now he's committed and has shut down his recruitment. Carroll is a Penn State legacy yet, the Tide beat out the Nittany Lions, Michigan, and Georgia to land him.
Carroll was at or near the top of Alabama's wish list getting him on campus for the third time this weekend sealing the deal. Also deserving credit in the recruitment is Alabama Guard Tyler Booker who has struck up a friendship with Carroll that was vital for Alabama.
All eyes on the Skill Positions
This recruiting class is loaded on the defensive side of the football however, at the skill positions the class needs some work. The Tide have a commitment from running back Anthony Rogers and receiver Lotzeir Brooks however the group will need more commitments. JaMarcus Shephard has been a big asset for the Tide and he's well respected so we may see some massive receiver commitments with a loaded recruiting weekend in two weeks.
