This summer no one has dominated the recruiting trail quite like Kalen DeBoer and the Alabama Football program. This month, the Alabama Football program had landed eight "blue chip" recruits over the past month with Kaleb Edwards committing to Alabama on Tuesday.

The Crimson Tide have landed yet another "blue chip" recruit with edge rusher Justin Hill committing to the Alabama Football Program.

Justin Hill is a top-50 recruit ranked as the 48th-ranked player in the class and the sixth-ranked edge rusher according to On3's Industry Rankings. Hill becomes the fourth highest-ranked recruit in Alabama Football's recruiting class and the 7th top 100 recruit. The Tide only trails Ohio State in terms of recruiting class rankings but, the commitments of Edwards and Hill have drawn the Tide closer.

Hill picked Alabama over in-state Ohio State, USC, and Oregon.

This recruiting class may become the best defensive recruiting class in the country as the group is loaded. The Tide has landed high-end talent like Dijon Lee, Chuck McDonald, Darrell Johnson, and Dawson Merritt, along with other top talent.

As it's been the entire recruiting cycle, Ryan Williams and the Freshman class continue to be some of Kalen DeBoer's best assets as Crimson Tide commits continue to help in attracting talent to Tuscaloosa.

The Tide may catch Ohio State this Summer

The latest commitments have drawn the Alabama Crimson Tide the closest they've been to having the top recruiting class in this cycle. The Tide now eye several top 100 targets as they look to finish off this recruiting class which could see the Tide take hold of the top ranking. Five-Stars Caleb Cunningham and Ty Haywood are two recruits the Tide sit in a great place with and could help boost this class into the top ranking. The Tide also will look to bring in top-100 recruits Akylin Dear and Ty Jackson who could catapult this signing class to the next level.
